In the fourth grade, we strive to make learning fun. We captivate students' attention with Project Based Learning, interactive, integrated technology opportunities, such as, monthly virtual field trips with the Virginia Historical Society. We use outdoor classrooms and inquiry based learning to engage students in real world scientific problems. We encourage analytical and creative mathematical thinking and develop 21st century skills necessary for student mathematicians to embrace their love of the art of mathematics. Your child will learn to embrace their love of reading with DEAR "Drop Everything And Read" such that you might find them sneaking off in to corners and hiding under bed sheets with flashlights to finish one last chapter.
